Wahl KMX Cordless Clipper - Unboxing Review

Download MP3

Hello.

This is Jessie with Sharp Edges.

And today I wanted to do an unboxing video about the new Wahl K.M.X. Cordless clipper.

Get right into it here.

Let's open it up here.

And the first thing we noticed is that, unlike the K.M. which is poppy-colored, this is a neon green which I know a lot of people like.

The other thing that's obvious to notice is that the blade is different than what normally comes with your K.M. for example.

This is a blocking blade. This clipper was originally designed for the livestock industry. That says this is a wide very pointy-toothed blade not appropriate for dog grooming.

This is used with livestock.

However, if you purchase this clipper through me I give you your choice: the blocking blade, a number 10 wide blade, or a number 30 wide blade.

Otherwise, it looks very similar, almost identical to the poppy K.M.

Some of the biggest differences besides that blade are the speeds…

The K.M. Cordless comes in, I think, the high speed is 3700.

And the low speed on this one is 3700. The high speed is 4500 spm.

It's got a little get up and go to it.

Of course, increased speed will mean an increased need to keep all your blades from getting hot.

Let's see what else is here.

Also here's the cord and it comes with clipper oil which is for the blades, not for the clipper.

It comes with a brush.

Another big difference besides the blade and the speed is the cord.

The K.M. came with a little thinner 14 ft cord, but because this is meant to be used in livestock barns, it's a much beefier chord. It's an 18 ft cord.

So if you ever run out of charge here, which is two hours on this clip, it has a two-hour run time.

But if you do run out of charge, you can always run corded and you have 18 ft of cord here to do that with.

Other than that, just the instruction manuals and warranty information anyways.

Thanks for watching.

I hope you enjoyed the video.
